01 / BRIEF
A hypothetical B2B business handles enquiries across email and spreadsheets. Sales needs visibility into each stage, while customers need to select products and submit technical requirements together.
Define customer, sales and administrator roles. Limit the first release to product selection, enquiry creation and status tracking, separating later phases.
Design the mobile form, error states and administration screen together. Model enquiries, products and users alongside permissions and retention needs.
Turn business rules into testable acceptance criteria. Include integration failures, repeated submissions, backups and management handover in the release plan.
Example acceptance checks: incomplete required data must not create an enquiry; users must not access unauthorised records; repeated submissions must not create accidental duplicates. Measuring time savings needs a real baseline and usage data.
ERP integration, payments, multi-company support and ongoing maintenance are not automatically included. The displayed journey is a design proposal, not a deployed client application.
